A great series of races. There's something about being tortured in glorious countryside that is very enjoyable. Or is it just me?

By a long way, these are my favorite XC races of the winter. There is also a nice level of camaraderie among the regulars developing. This always leads to some fun banter/encouragement on the way round.

Snow+Rock G3, January 24th, February 14th and March 7th 2009

This race encompasses everything you'd expect from a world class event including wonderful scenery, precision race management and a great atmosphere.

What:

Three different courses are raced over three dates, all starting and finishing from the same venue: Newlands Corner, Guildford, Surrey. Approximately 10k xc running across the North Downs using sandy trails, woodlands tracks and grassy fields.
