NIGHT FRIGHT   27 Oct 12

Latest information

We're delighted to announce that Night Fright will be held next year:

Saturday evening 06:00, 27 October 2012.

What is this? An exciting opportunity to race at dusk/night across the woodlands and raise money for The Royal Surrey Appeal. A 6km run or 2.5km walk amongst the wiggly woos, ghostly creatures and forest frighteners of Chantries Woodlands. head torches are mandatory.

Full fancy dress will be encouraged to get into the Halloween spirit, for both runners and walkers. Trick or Treating and all sorts of fun for the kids on the 2km walk including glow sticks and spooks in the wood.

We're trying to reach our £12,000 target which will enable us to buy a baby resuscitation unit. Sometimes new born babies need extra help to warm up after birth. This warming system uniformly distributes heat to the baby and means that babies can stay in our transitional care unit with their mothers, rather than transferring them unnecessarily to the special care baby unit.

What:

Halloween themed run and walk.

6km run: This is a 6km off road run through the woodlands. The 1 lap route takes you across the Chantries woodlands, around St Martha's Church and back.

2.5km walk: The 2km walk is for groups, families and young kids to explore the Chantries woodlands at dusk.

Where:

Chantries Woodlands, Pilgrims Way, Guildford, Surrey, GU4 8AW
