Orientator 2007
|
Excellent. We really enjoyed it. It wasn't too difficult to follow the map and find the markers. The challenging part was finding the best route. We would definitely do it again and will consider taking up orienteering. A great venue. Our children (5 and 7) would love to do a shorter version (probably with grandparents helping). C Webb
After a bad night with a nasty cold I nearly didn't make this, but I'm so glad I did. It really was great fun, and the organisation was excellent. everyone was so helpful and friendly so my two greatest fears - getting lost and coming last - were not realized. I'll be back next year, if there's another.
| Two of us ran together and enjoyed the whole event - it made a real change to do some thinking as well as running. My son would also welcome a junior version of this or similar - he has run a couple of 4K's and was itching to give this a go today.
Thanks Toby another smooth bit of organisation. |
One hell of an event. Friendly and fun highly recomended, and definitely is an Adventure Race. Getting lost has never been so fun
I did the event with my Son, we are 44 and 25 so our fitness levels are very different. We had a great time. The whole event was great fun and there was a good friendly atmosphere with everyone helping each other without losing the competetive edge. Perhaps not as gruelling as an 'adveture race' but certainly an adventure all the same. See you next year. Well done.
Well I really enjoyed the Orientator - the organisation was nice and smooth, the electronic key thing worked just fine at the atmosphere was great. Running around chatting to people about where the bases were etc was a bit more sociable than a regular run - a nice change.

Xtreme Terrain Festival 2007
|
Hi Toby, and thanks for a brilliant event on Saturday. What a pleasure doing such relaxed but brilliantly organised races. The marshals were probably the friendliest, most enthusiastic I've seen. Alison L, winner
I really enjoyed the Sprint XTD definitely back for next year. The event was blessed with perfect weather and was very well organized so I'll be recommending it to fellow www.bobmbc.com members for 2008. Gary
Thanks for a great race I would class that as one of the best TRIs i've done. The bike leg was excellent so much better than going up and down on a road bike. Gary L
Thanks for organising a brilliant event. I competed in the XTT Sprint and expected the cycling to be tame but far from it. I hope to be back next year. Judith C
Thanks for a great race. Colin D, winner
Firstly i would like to congratulate you and your team for a well organised and thoroughly exciting event, and for me, a great way to end the triathlon season on ! I only have one bruise from a sliding fall on the mountain bike course poorly navigated by myself. Sharon H, winner
Great fun at the weekend, thank you for a well organised and well marshaled event. Great location and the run was tough but a good mix of ups and downs! Dan L
Toby, Congratulations and thanks again for another great all about triathlons XTT event. I should know by now that any event organised by you will involve a challenging course and should not be underestimated. Sadly my lack of training meant that it was more endurance than enjoyment for me ! However, as always the all about triathlons crew did a great job. Easy registration, efficient organisation, great marshals (as always) and an interesting, fun course. I will back next year, a stone lighter, with a bit more MTB experience and properly trained! Chris M
Hi, Thanks for a good day out, the bike course was brilliant so if you wanted to make that longer next year I would be very happy. Freya B, winner
| I'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to you for organising such a great race today. I enjoyed the XTA so much that I will enter it next year and perhaps even try doing the XTT and trying my hand at mountain biking. It was a wonderful setting and the run was fantastic - it's such a treat to do a multi-sport event where the run is not on tarmac. It was really well organised, the weather couldn't have been better. | G3 2007 |
|
Toby and Rory, Thanks to the whole G3 team for another excellent series this year. It is always a shame when they are over. Another great race on Saturday and you even managed to sort out the weather. At 5:00am I was listening to the rain pounding against my window and I was thinking (1) shall I bother and (2) those poor marshals getting up early in this weather! So if you guys were getting up there could be no excuses!! I ran a little harder this time, so it was good to beat a few people who were ahead of me in February and to give Martha's Back Passage one last blast for the season. I am not sure whether MBP is worse early in the run (Feb) or in the middle (March) but at least you let us off the top section this time! Made a little purchase on Saturday afternoon so maybe I could squeeze the XTT at the end of a busy tri season! See you soon and thanks again to the whole team - best winter events in Surrey and best marshals! - Chris M
Thank you Toby and all the marshalls for a really enjoyable G3 series. It’s a great, informal and friendly event, and tough too. Today’s race was a killer but I really enjoyed it. I look forward to next year! - Jaqueline M
Really enjoyed the race today – in a masochistic sort of way – great course! I am so impressed that you’ve got the results up already – almost unheard of for a race! - Louise P
Thanks for organizing a brilliant event today, I thoroughly enjoyed myself, well apart from the hills of course! - Dale M
Thanks for 2 great races, three of us did the jan and the march race and really enjoyed(?) both of them, well once we were finished we did anyway. Very well organised and interesting courses - Mike L

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the race. Brilliant (challenging route) – lovely to run through the countryside on a crisp November morning. Please thank all the marshals and helpers who gave up their Sunday morning to make this a success. Hopefully the first of many. Good luck with the fundraising - Rosie C
Hi and good morning Catherine, just a quick note to thank you and your team for such a superb day yesterday. PS I ran with Paul last week when we did a reekie on the race route. Thanks again, well done to you all!!! - Justin
Hi, another thank you to the team!! The run yesterday was GREAT!!! Absolutely loved it - excellent route - just need to make sure I don't get stuck behind the log jam up the second hill next time! My parents both ran as well - mum did the 10k and dad did the 4k - both thoroughly enjoyed it! The whole event was really well organised and good fun. We're all definites for the next one and I've roped my neighbours in as well. - Michaela

XTT 2006
|
Great event mate, I've come away with a bruised heal, knee, cut leg and stiff shoulders, but it was all worth it! - Tom D
Well done on yesterdays race, we all said it was easily the hardest race we'd done but that also we'll be coming back to do it again. I honestly thought my calves were going to explode after 2k of the run. - John
Enjoyed my first off road triathlon - tough though. Great course and well organised. How did you manage to organise the downpour to prepare the course? Well done! I look forward to the XTD. - Mike
Thanks to you and your helpers for organising XTT - nearly killed me but great fun. Thanks for brilliant day. Enjoyable, technical MTB (very wet & muddy), friendly support staff. Best tri of the year - Kelvin
